Sweet Soy Garlic Chicken Wings
- Cook: 22 Minutes
- Prep: 10 Minutes
- Total: 32 Minutes
- Servings: 2-3-4
Direction
1. Prep the wings
Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels — this helps them crisp in the oven.
2. Bake the wings
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place wings on a baking sheet (use parchment or a wire rack).
Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway for even browning.
3. Make the glaze
While wings bake:
In a small saucepan, add soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic.
Mix cornstarch + 1 Tbsp water to make a slurry.
Stir slurry into the saucepan.
Cook on medium heat for 2–3 minutes, until thick, glossy, and bubbling.
4. Coat the wings
Remove wings from the oven.
Toss the hot wings in the sweet soy garlic glaze until fully coated.
5. Broil for shine
Place glazed wings back on the baking sheet.
Broil on high for 2 minutes, watching carefully.
This caramelizes the sauce and gives the wings a sticky restaurant style finish.
6. Serve
Serve hot with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
Pairs well with rice, noodles, or a fresh salad.
